Privacy Policy

Your privacy

Effective October 18, 2026

The short version.

  • We collect what the app needs to run a verified network of airport professionals, and nothing for advertising.
  • We don't sell your data, show ads or track you across other apps and websites.
  • Your phone's location is used on your iPhone to find the nearest airport. Notes record the airport's location, not yours.
  • You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Profile, then Delete account.

1. Who we are

Transform Airports ("we", "us") is an iPhone app and service for verified airport and airline professionals. You can reach us at [email protected]. This policy explains what information the app and this website collect, why, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

InformationWhat it includes and why
Account and profileYour email address and password, first and last name, job title, organization and its type, home airport, and optionally a phone number and profile photo. We use these to create your account, sign you in, verify that you work in aviation and show you to other members. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.
Join requestsIf you ask to join, your name, email, title, organization, home airport and message, so we can review the request.
Notes you sendThe text, the kind of note, the airport and its coordinates, an optional photo, the time you sent it and its delivery status. These are the core of the service.
LocationWith your permission, the app reads your iPhone's location to suggest the nearest airport. That position is used on your device and is not sent to us. Notes store the chosen airport's published coordinates.
Photos and cameraOnly the photos you choose or take for a note or your profile. The app does not scan your photo library.
Airports you follow and notificationsThe airports you follow, and if you allow notifications, a push token and your member ID, so we can alert you when a note about those airports arrives.
Safety recordsThe version and date of the community guidelines you accepted, members you block, and reports you file or that are filed about your notes.
App identifierA random identifier created by the app and stored with each note, which helps us spot duplicate or abusive submissions. It is not Apple's advertising identifier.
DiagnosticsIf you choose to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple gives us crash reports that are not linked to your identity.

We don't collect contacts, browsing history, health, financial or advertising data.

3. How we use it

We do not sell or rent personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers. We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

4. Who can see what

5. Service providers

We use a small number of providers who process data only on our behalf and under contract:

Our service is run from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.

6. How long we keep it

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, including California and the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights, such as objecting to processing or complaining to a data protection authority. We honor these rights for all members.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited by row-level security, so members can read only what this policy describes. Administrator access is limited to the people who run the service. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away if you suspect a problem.

9. Children

Transform Airports is for working professionals aged 18 or older. It is not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. This website

This website doesn't set its own cookies or use analytics or trackers. It is hosted on Railway and delivered through Cloudflare, which may set a strictly necessary security cookie to filter out bots. Like any web host, they may briefly keep standard request logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability. The App Store badge image is loaded from Apple.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
